American Idol judge: Celebrity Apprentice winner Bret Michaels intent on ...

Defile frontman Bret Michaels looks more than interested in replacing Simon Cowell as an American Icon judge.

Speaking to People magazine, the 47-year-old Michaels says that he would be masterful to part with some real honest advice for the aspirants if he is chosen as a judge. He makes the point that he came up and carved a site in the music industry the hard way and thus can help the rookies out there to realize the nature of their endeavor.

“I hand-me-down to move the pool table out of the way to play for people six nights a week, playing five sets a twilight, where I had to announce the dinner special,” Michaels was saying. “I grew up the old-fashioned way. I would have done anything to have a stand like American Idol when I was growing up.”

So having this vast experience behind him, he claims that as far as the opinion thing goes, he can help out the contestants with some valuable advice.

In fact, Cowell himself proposed Michaels’ name as a practicable successor of him. At the Idol finale party, Cowell was saying to the reporters that Michaels, who sang during the continuously along with Casey James, could do a good job in his place.
