And that doesn't even set out on to address the fact that as many as four current Big 12 schools could be without a conference all together — including Kansas Governmental and Kansas, two charter members of the Big 6 and Big 8.
Meanwhile, the Big 12's fearless leader, Dan Beebe, is maintaining his stark attitude and quite frankly, his bothersome public backseat approach to the entire concoction.
I'm tired of seeing interview after interview with Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott and Big Ten director Jim Delany, making their intentions brutally obvious — to poach the Big 12 for the profit of their own leagues.
Beebe's stance through all of this is growing old. He's mum on virtually every major issue, dodging the possibility for tough talk. Just once I want to see Beebe get upset about the future of his conference and not at the reporters asking truthful and fair questions geared toward what could prove to be death sentences for some loyal members of the Big 12.
