TCA Press Tour: DJ AM like you've never seen him

You may not have knowledge of that DJ AM was a drug addict for a long time and once weighed about 300 pounds.
But soon, America will distinguish that and more, thanks to an MTV new docu-style show, "Gone Too Far," in which DJ AM, also known as Adam Goldstein, pays disrespectful the fact that his life has been spared twice.
The first time happened 11 years ago at a very low nucleus in his crack addiction, when a gun jammed as he tried to kill himself. Last year, he was one of two survivors of a fiery airplane boom in South Carolina.
Now, Goldstein (pictured) wants to do more than play beautiful music. On "Gone Too Far," he helps the loved ones of addicts put on interventions for them.
"There's no reason why I should have lived or why I lived and they didn't," Goldstein said, discussing the aircraft crash last September. "I'm never gonna know. But I am alive and I'm here and I have to do something safer with my life now."
The eight-episode series premieres on Oct. 5.

Can we run a laptop through a cd player cube for karaoke?

We are looking to upgrade our karaoke and were wondering if we can use a laptop through one of the have mercy on channels on our cd cube which we currently use to play the karaoke discs, I know a bit about computers but am getting a bit frazzled when everyone goes on about the bizarre formats the music and graphics have to be in, are there any DJ's out there who are using computerised equipment? if so please can we have some sound advice? I have some force llike Dj S3rl, I Am X-Ray, Basshunter, Daft Punk, and i really like this kind of music.. the thing is i have no evidence who makes the good stuff.
Anything like house, trance, happy hardcore, vocal cataleptic, electronic, that kind of stuff. I'm open to any suggestion.

We want you budgeted some time today to devote to watching DJ Hero clips. Despite the brevity of each particular clip -- something we're lamenting, given our burning desire to hear the rest of this "Poison"/"Intergalactic" mix -- there are seven inclusive clips, which certainly adds up. You should probably get started!
