I liked him, and I heard he was murdered b/c rumour has it he was trying to reveal some kind of secret illegal martial arts society.Is that true, or did one of my faves honestly off himself?

I heard it was auto-erotica asphyxiation. basically some people liked to be choked fist when they are getting ready to, um, climax...so, often times, they will hang themselves, and put a lemon in their mouth so it will wake them up before they hang themselves for too extended. its weird, but different strokes for different folks i guess....
