The client, Chris Russo, chief executive of Fantasy Sports Ventures , a network of 600 sports sites, said: “You can’t out- ESPN ESPN, but you can take a contrasting approach. Jason covers general sports and celebrity with an in-depth focus on sports media. Through competent journalism and good luck, The Big Lead has succeeded.”
Fantasy Sports, which reaches 15 million users monthly through its array of Web properties, owns TheHuddle.com and BaseballHQ.com, and the basketball information site HoopsHype.com.
The Big Lead is in some ways a tamer, cleaner version of Deadspin, the every now ferocious, often ribald sports Web site that is owned by Gawker Media , and also fascinated by ESPN.
When Mr. McIntyre began his orientation in 2006, he was still an editor at US Weekly. “I really didn’t know what I was doing,” he said. He wrote it anonymously until his sameness was revealed by Sports Illustrated (which later named it one of the five most influential sports blogs of the decade).

Jeffree Star a musician?
Aug 04, 2009 by PJdance | Posted in Rock and Pop
Cross one's heart and hope to die, what is it about Jeffree Star that kids actually think makes him a good musician? No really all trolling aside.... he can't warble, he writes bad songs... he can't play an instrument even his own voice (which is an instrument, ask Aretha Franklin), he seem to have no concept of euphonious history or theory and where music came from.
And by most on-line accounts he's an asshole who is giving us queers and trannies a bad name. For what taste shred of celebrity he has I'd say his ego rival Kanye's.
It's too easy to saw he's ans attention starved whore, which is true. But seriously why do people maintenance him... and gasp some even worship him.
But he's not unique. Look at Myspace it is filled with Jeferee Star's and let's not lose RuPaul did it first and better and the of course their is Dame Edna... word are not necessary.
What can you do when you hate how you look?
Aug 04, 2009 by Dolkite | Posted in Men's Health
I am 32 years old, been bald for more than 10 years (touching, I know). I am six-foot-two and about 255 lbs. I hate the way people see me...even if females see me in a positive light, I feel savage because I dont want to be seen as a big bald guy. I dont care if being bald is "in" or if petite guys wish they were bigger. I just dont like the girls I attract, which are invariably below the poverty level, insecure, and desirous of some big guy to offset them, which makes me feel even worse since I dont want a girl who notices my make an estimate of or sees it as a way for her to feel tiny.
My brother, meanwhile, is only six feet tall, has all his hair, and nobody ever asks him stupid questions about if he played football or other sports. I hatred that I ended up with all the worst genes...the hair loss, the height, the broad shoulders, etc.
People try to placate me by listing big bald celebrities, but that only makes things worse. I don't miss to be compared to oafish types like Vin Diesel or Michael Chiklis or some dumb athlete. I solely want to find a way to change how I look. I know I can lose some weight, but I don't know how I can hide my height, construct (broad shoulders don't just go away), and baldness.
It's not that people say I look bad....this is what's so hard for people to assume from. Most people are so desperate for acceptance that they gladly chuck their own opinion if someone tells them they are OK. I know big bald guys get girls too.....but I dont yearn for a girl who wants some uber-masculine sort of guy, someone to protect her. I don't know any big bald guys I invent look good...I sure wouldn't want to be compared to Vin Diesel or Bruce Willis or Michael Chiklis.
Hi all. Someone posted a query asking if the BNP are racist and commenting on how muslims are allowed to move in and build mosques etc.
I was going to answer but the insupportable was deleted but heres my reply:
The BNP are very forward about their beliefs and they try to answer the questions which aren't necessarily eminent to 'Britain' but are problems that annoy people.
That is why they try to tackle Immigration so harshly. If you read their manifesto though, then associate it to Adolf Hitler's rally speech, they sound very very similar haha. They basically want to termination all immigration, stop foreign imports, make our armed forces independent from NATO and manage us completely self sufficient.
With this though, we will loose a lot of priviledges and prices for everything will rocket because we won't have choices of foreign imports. The BNP like to grow into out that they are just helping britain but as soon as they get into power they will soon start a race war. They will try to remove Muslims, Blacks and everything, even those that are our best friends and were born in this country.
They want us to be like we were in the 1920's.. no foreigners, everything run by stuck up traditionalists. We have developed too far from then though and our mountains has benefitted so much from foreign imports and even immigration. We wouldn't even have computers and Internet if it wasn't for Microsoft and Apple... all American imports.
The one that makes me pooh-pooh the most is that the BNP are saying they will offer immigrants a choice to go back to their countries of origin and pay their government money to have them back.
The reason why most of them communistic in the first place is because their government is CORRUPT! hahaha. Fair enough its a bit odd that they travel through 20 other countries to get to Britain but thats unprejudiced because it is a beautiful and welcoming country, with a fair democracy and freedom of speech. We should welcome people and appear confident that those who try to beat the system, will eventually be sent back and even if they don't get caught at first, they are living a very restricted and limited life, a moment ago minus the wars and bombs :P.
If you look at figures such as President Mugabe of Zimbabwe. He profits from leaving his own native land in poverty and keeping all the money himself. Sending people back there and giving Mugabe more money would make things worse :P.
Don't heed to the trash the BNP say. The thing that makes me most sick are their propoganda posters, showing only White, British people yet they say they arent racists. And War veterans! Veterans who are only heros because they fought AGAINST far set to rights extremism haha.
Its all a massive contradiction. Most followers of the BNP are extremely selfish..
I don't agree with the BNP but I do think its mindless how foreigners can be racist to us, comment on our skin colour and ignorance and slate our country (even though they are living in it) yet when we footnote on things (like when Jade Goodey called Shilpa Shetty Shilpa Popadom on Celebrity BB) there is a inhabitant outcry.
I think the solution to that is to make people feel 'Welcome'. They are only aggressive because of defense mechanisms against racist drained people.
Anybody agree?
Couldn't concur more.
Something i actually enjoyed reading on here for a change.

What website would you like to see that hasn't been created yet?
Aug 03, 2009 by Rick | Posted in Other - Internet
I am looking for ideas to come to a new website; something original that no one created yet. What kind of website would you like to see? A different social site? An interactive neighbourhood? A popular celebrity that doesn't have a website yet? Or maybe something else unique that was never done before?
Here is a second question; how would you feel about a website that is targeted towards people with undesirable opinions and beliefs? Nowadays people are more pro-choice than ever and they just post comments on YouTube in hopes people would hear or they would make a blog, however no ones cares about unpopular blogs either. What if there is a website that revolves around giving acclaim to unpopular beliefs and opinions and there would be a feature where you could create your own blog and we would give each blogger the attention they feel they be worthy of? A website where you can feel your opinions matters, a website where you can get attention from your own opinions and a website where you won't feel like an persona non grata for publicize unpopular opinions.
Thanks
Any celebs in Kentucky...?
Aug 03, 2009 by Kristen R | Posted in Celebrities
My kin bagged groceries for Steve Zahn in Georgetown, Ky. He's been in many movies, one of which we knew very well, Daddy Daycare. My companion said he owns a horse ranch here in Georgetown, Ky. Do any other celebs own a vacation home or visit Ky over again(not during derby)? 'Cause know I'm jealous! I wanna meet a celebrity! It doesn't even have to be a really pre-eminent one! Please help!?
thx in advance
